Perfect for a short stay. We were there for 1 night, seeing a gig at the Hydro, and it was exactly what you'd want. Great location, we got a taxi from the train station and it was walking distance to the Hydro. Plenty of good food places super close by. Will definitely stay there again when staying overnight in Glasgow. Special shout out to manager Liz, she's brilliant and an asset to the hotel.
The hotel was amazing. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The location was great and staff were always ready to help. The overall stay was much better than I expected. I would definitely go there again.
Good location as I often returned late at night by foot and it’s located in a safe area. Room very clean, warm and comfortable and I had a peaceful night’s sleep. All the staff I encountered were very friendly. Was very reasonably priced and better quality than what I expected in that price range.
Really nice place. Ran out of hot water in the afternoon which was a shame. Breakfast is cheap £10...it wasn't too bad bud I'd had better out of the hotel on the Saturday. But other than that really good...WiFi is really strong and never missed a beat. Rooms spacious and clean with hairdryer and wardrobe. Tea and coffee facilities In the room.
We had a wonderful stay at the Kelvingrove hotel! Managers Liz and Joe are wonderful : welcoming, accommodating, and helpful in every way . All of the staff were friendly, nice size rooms and very clean. Location in Finnieston was great. Highly recommend!
From the outside and the reception area the hotel looks lovely, clean and presentable. Little bit out dated in terms of decor (90s carpets and textured wallpaper) but nothing offensive. We got to our room however and we were less than impressed but sadly we were there for a funeral and didn't have many other choices at the time. We also asked to move rooms but the hotel was fully booked. The room was quite small and felt dark but not bad for the price. We had a decorative pillow on the bed that looked well used and quite crusty. We found large crumbs down the side of the wardrobe and a used eyebrow brush on the floor. There were several cobwebs around the room too. Bathroom quite small but functional apart from the shower, I actually couldn't physically fit inside the shower so if you're any bigger than a size 18 you're gonna struggle. Luckily they did have a communal bathroom upstairs but it did mean an awkward shuffle to and from this bathroom. Whilst on the subject of the shared bathroom, great idea to have that option so families can use it etc but the lights in there are on a 5 minute timer which to be brutally honest is a health and safety risk, I was halfway through showering one of the mornings and the lights just cut out so it meant getting out of the shower, dripping wet and walking across the slippy tiles to the other side of the room to press the button again every 5 mins. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment but at £20 per person I wasn't interested when there are plenty of cute cafes in the area. One thing I will say though is that the staff are bloody fantastic and really nice and friendly. Warm welcome every morning or when walking past the reception so absolutely cannot fault them.
Comfortable clean room - good breakfast. Reception and service all good. Great location close to great food and bars. Easy walk to centre for us. Great value and as regular visitors to this area would stay again
Everyone at Kelvingrove was lovely. The room was comfortable and located near a gorgeous park and delicious restaurants. Easy to commute from Glasgow Central to the hotel. Liz and Joe were the folks on staff who I met. They were so kind and fun to talk to. I will definitely be back!
